Recommended when purchasing the dash cam and worked fantastic. Used a professional to connect dash cam GKUd600pro to my 2019 Mini Countryman.

Although I took care to make sure that the hard wiring kit had the correct mini-fuses for my car, the plastic plugs were too bulky to fit in the slots in the fuse box in my Range Rover, so I had to buy piggy-back fuse extensions and plug the hard-wire kit into those, which is not ideal. I mentioned this in my original review, and GKU contacted me to pay for the piggy back fuses, a very nice gesture from a very good company. Great kit for hard wiring dash cam

Firstly it's not GKU branded - not a big issue but I only got this to 'match' my camera brand. The cable length from the DC to DC converter box to the USB C connector is only 2 meters not 3.5 . Yes the whole end to end cable with the box in the middle might be, but that's no help if 2 m is not long enough to get from your fuse box to the camera, because you need to hide the box somewhere behind the dash. Mine was not supplied with any piggyback fuse holders. Most cars are not going to have 2 spare slots on the fusebox that meet the Permenent Live and Ignition switched live requirements. Lastly the connectors seem to have a Blue (15A) Mini fuse embedded into the end connector. They seem permenantly fixed in there which can't be right because the Dashcam needs a 3 Amp fuse max, and if the fuse ever fails how are you supposed to change it? Overall pretty rubbish and I have returned.

Very helpful full customer service wasn't compatible for my fuse box but customer service did there best to resolve the problem

The end fittings on this unit (fuses) do not fit properly into a Mercedes fuse box which has little securing clips that get in the way of the wires sticking out of this unit, I have had to tape the fuses in place as they just come out. I would have returned this but had already fitted all the wiring behind the trims. I imagine I will stray to have problems with the fuses slipping out when the tape fails, I would advice to get the piggy back type hard wiring kit for Mercedes.

Does exactly as advertised and allows my dashcam to be powered when the ignition is off. There is a Video link on a QR Code to give you a guide for Installation so was very easy to do. Cable length is perfect and easy to fit in under trim pieces.
