Smells like burnt wood
Super cool design and I love it, but parts of it appear to have been burnt while it was being cut. Gives off a very strong burnt wood odor.

Sent back because the black one is more like a charcoal black, not black black

Altered it- now I like it
Upon unboxing, the limited quality of the frame ( looks and feels like plastic - with some kind of fake wood finish). The green on the tree silhouette is very bright, sometimes closer to yellow.. The white marks on the ‘tree’ were also unacceptable. Looked very childlike. Since I needed this to finish the room project, I decided to spray paint the panels a solid flat black- frame and all. Two cans of spray paint later- the finished product is a vast improvement from what was sent. If you chose to alter the panels as I did, use good quality spray paint (I used Behr), 2 coats front and back. Be sure to get the spray into the sides where the pieces fit together. The solid black against the beige wall is stunning.A last caution, the hangars provided show. They are sturdy, however, they are also white and obvious. I used small beige nails which cannot be seen. Good luck.
