⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️We hesitated for over a year due to the cost and uncertainty about performance, considering many different different brands. After hearing an amazing recommendation from someone my wife knows, we finally decided on Roborock—and we're so glad we did!The setup was straightforward, and the automatic mapping and floor plan development were relatively seamless. I still need to fine-tune a few room setups and barriers, but the process has been good so far. We have an upstairs, so I was able to carry the robot upstairs and drop it off. It was mapped and cleaned without coming down the stairs. The cliff edge detector works well!The suction power is impressive, and the little side arms do a fantastic job reaching baseboards and corners. It easily fits under furniture, beds, and other hard-to-reach areas, which makes a huge difference in managing dust accumulation in those hard-to-reach spots.It's quiet, considering what it is doing (far less noise than a traditional vacuum). The quality feels solid, and so far, it's durable. We agree with those who called this life-changing—Roborock has earned a customer for life, no doubt.

I've been using robot vacuums for many years, but this is my first time trying Roborock. My wife and I decided to switch from iRobot to Roborock for a couple of reasons: 1) we've heard great things about its intelligence and build quality in the past; 2) we needed a robot vacuum that can mop and self-clean. While the price was higher, we decided to give it a try and ended up buying two different models—one for each floor of our home. Here are the things which this S8 MaxV Ultra has impressed me so far:1. App Setup: The app is very well-designed and easy to use. Setting up the vacuum was a breeze, and I can easily share the devices with my wife, so she has access to all the same information.2. Mapping: I recommend letting the vacuum perform a quick mapping first rather than starting with a full cleaning. The map it creates is very smart and accurate. I can even set "no-go" zones for areas I don’t want it to clean, which works perfectly.3. Self-Cleaning Mop: The vacuum automatically wets, cleans, and dries the mop. All I need to do is refill the clean water, add detergent if needed, and empty the dirty water. It saves me a lot of time.4. Cleaning Track in the App: The app shows the cleaning path and time, giving me a good overview of how the job is progressing and helping me plan for next time.5. Remote Control: I can control the vacuum remotely, which is great because cleaning normally takes over an hour. I prefer letting it work while I'm away, rather than having it run around when I'm home.6. Suction Power: I haven’t used the highest suction setting, as my floors are wood and tile, and medium power is sufficient. As I mentioned, mopping is my main priority.So far, I'm really impressed with this product and love how it’s making my cleaning routine easier.

The media could not be loaded. I bought S7 max model a few years back. The S7 max model really works great in terms of cleaning the floor. I use it almost every day to clean the kitchen floor after dinner. It never had any issue, the quality is definitely beyond my expectation. But it is not so intelligent especially when there are obstacles around. When S8 MaxV ultra comes out, I was looking forward to upgrade to the latest and greatest model. So I finally got it yesterday. The installation is really easy and quick. About 15 mins after open the box, the roborock started to map the house. In the picture, you can see S8 is larger than S7, it has quite a lot AI features. In the video, you can see it how to avoid the chair legs, but also mop it around with the small mop arm. The suction power of S8 is much larger than S7, the nice thing is S8 has a removable dust bin, so you can clean the dust bin much easier. The S8 also has auto mop wash, this really save me quite a lot of time. S8 will determine when it needs to wash the mop again, it will stop the clean and return to the station to wash the mop, after that, it will go back the the previous spot to continue the clean. So far, this is the best robot vacuum and mop I ever owned.
