This SSD was the perfect addition to my ps5! I read an online tutorial on how to install it and I had it in within 10 minutes. It doesn't hit all the way up to the advertised 7,400 MB/s transfer speed, but that's to be expected. It will only hit that in perfect conditions. It did hit around 6200 MB/s though on a random write and read test that Sony does automatically. Which is perfect because that is better than the minimum required by the ps5. This is one of the best value SSD's I can find on amazon right now since it is so cheap! It was easy to install as well as high quality. I have had it for a few months now and it works perfectly! Even if it did fail it has a 5 year warranty! So even if it did fail I can just get another for free! I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to get the best value SSD and just needs a little more storage. 10/10

This is a great looking device, too bad it will be hidden away forever locked inside of a tiny compartment inside my PS5. There was plenty of extra room inside the compartment, Installation was easy and took less than 10min to be back up and running again.The heatsink is optional, it comes detached and ready to add stick on. It is held by double sided tape, not sure how it will hold up under temperature. But it looks nice.As you can see from my photo after starting up the PS5 again, works like a charm, the speed is better than most.

Worked in PS5. Clocked in around score of 6200 during installation. I had just return Corsair LX600 that failed to be seen by the ps5.I’ve bought from this brand and was pleased with other hardware. Tom hardware gave this a good performance score. I Thought they had better price for performance. This was the first ssd from atdataVendor should state that you need to install heat sink and include link to install heat sink.Moved games on and off no error so far. Pretty damn fast. Started 4-5 games for couple min. No problem.I’ll update detail in 30 days.

The product looks nice and is testing fine for read speed on my son's PS5. We upgraded in size from a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro w/heatsink (pre-installed) to this 4TB Adata Legend 960 Max (heatsink not installed). The ease of the swap would've been simple if Adata would've installed the heatsink. This is a 2 piece heatsink & I would recommend visiting their site for a link to their YouTube video for install. This tape/conductor is extremely sticky and mistakes can't me made. Take your time, view pics of the SSD with its heatsink installed, logically plan before sticking plate/heatsink and it can be done correctly. So this gets 4 stars....Samsung SSD was 5 stars in my book.

I have used rotating media hard drives, hybrid drives with very large caches, and solid state drives. The SSD's are the fastest, but are still limited by their SATA technology to a maximum of 600MB/S transfers. This NVMe SSD storage device can transfer data to a compatible motherboard, up to 3,500MB/S. Generally smaller, lighter, and more power efficient as well. I have had good luck with ADATA SSDs in the past, and so far this installed with no issues. It is working as expected. I have no idea if NVMe SSDs can be used for long term storage (more than 2 years, without periodically re-writing the data) but I would have serious doubts about it. Like how it works so far. Just remember "M.2" is a physical specification. A "M.2 SSD" can be either NVMe, or SATA, and you need to buy the correct type, that is supported by your computer. Also a "GEN4" SSD only delivers GEN4 speeds, when it is connected to a GEN4 capable interface. If you plug it into a GEN3 motherboard, you will only get GEN3 speeds.

Bought 4TB max version. Drive is the fastest i've seen with the good old trusty Silicon Motion controllers and Micron flash. Not really a complaint, but I did notice the drive overheats and starts to throttle to about half speed after you write 500GB to it. However under normal workloads it stays nice and cool and I believe a lot of fast SSD's in this category are similar in this regard.
