TSS898 Pleasantly Surprised
I was a little concerned by the lack of reviews on the TSS898, and the fact the star rating was below 4.0. However, I'm happy that I decided to order the bag. I was looking for a small bag for my XPS15 and was having a hard time finding a small slim bag that would hold the laptop, power brick, and a few small accessories (e.g. portable drive). This bag does an excellent job meeting those needs. The first thing I'll mention is that the bag thickness is wrong on Amazon and the Targus web site. When I viewed the photos on both sites, I could not understand how this bag with front zipper pocket could be 1.1 inches. When the bag arrived, I found it to look exactly like the photos, but was simply thicker than stated. The material that wraps the sides and bottom is actually 2.0 inches thick, and the front pocket bulges 1/2 inch more at the top and 1.0 more at the bottom. I was happy to see this was the case since I concerned the stated 1.1 inch would not have been enough room.I could easily fit two of my laptops inside the main compartment. Thus, a slim laptop provides more room for accessories either in this main compartment or the front pocket. This bag is much thinner than my old 17 inch Targus bag and much lighter.Con: The only negative I have with the bag (for which I did not deduct a star) is that I would have preferred they double the cushion on the bottom. Either two layers of the dense foam -OR- an external rubber base. I really liked the rubber base on my old Targus bag; it covered the entire bottom and protected it from wear when you set the bag down on cement (and protected it from water if the ground was wet).Targus Business Casual Slipcase with Shoulder Strap for 15.6-Inch Laptops, Black (TSS898)Update 11 Nov 2020: I've had the case over 18 months now and still very happy with it; plus, no signs of wear!!!

Great for my Pixelbook (and not too large for it as I first thought . . . read)
I originally was looking for a tight fit for my Pixelbook. Something with a separate and padded internal divider to separate the laptop from other items (books, notepads, etc.). This bag only has a flimsy fabric divider. On the outside is a large, single pocket with only contains two pen holders and a pocket for business cards. The bag supposedly can hold up to a 15" in laptop. I almost returned it since I wanted a padded interior section for the laptop and more pockets within the outer pocket for different items. But I decided to keep it for the following reasons:1) It a nice looking case. Minimalistic, but sleek.2) It's very light weight and I see this mostly as a commuter bag to/from the office and coffee shop.3) The bag is large enough to hold several books along with the Pixelbook. And I can use the bag for my larger laptop as well. The pocket in front is larger enough for a brick charger and some accessories (i.e. dongles, pens, etc.). Enough for what I need without overloading. I have a larger laptop backpack that I can load up if I need to.4) But the biggest reason I decided to keep it: I realized I could also fit my Pixelbook inside its sleeve and still put it inside the Targus case. Effectively, it acts as that padded internal section inside the case and I can use the sleeve pocket to keep the charger and other laptop items, thus creating the extra pockets I was looking for. Also, the Pixelbook is even more protected inside the case now. Other than the case being slightly heavier with the sleeve, it is not too tight and I don't feel the zippers are under any extra stress. The only con right now for me is that I wish there was extra material for the bottom of the case to better help with wear and tear. We'll see how well this case holds up (straps, handles, etc.). But once I realized I could simply use my existing sleeve with this case, I now had a case larger enough for different sized laptops and other items, but still had the option of nicely securing my Pixelbook inside.

Nice Bag
Nice bag, slim and lightweight. Great for carrying laptop back and forth from work. For longer trips I would look for a shoulder strap with padding.

Trust Targus
Targus is my go-to manufacturer for almost all my case and computer carrying accessories, and they rarely if ever disappoint. This bag is a perfect example of a minimalist approach to that, it is slim and sleek and unburdened by endless pockets and folders that you will likely never use and if so, discover anything you try to file in a typical case is gone indefinitely.I like this approach, and as such the Targus only has room for a medium size laptop, Chromebook or Surface; the big iPad Pro would also fit nicely. We find only a zippered pouch on one outside side, and a simple divider down the middle on the inside. That’s it, no frills, no silly business card holders and such.I am not too keen on the opening, which only opens to about ¼ of the way, but having picked up my previous case with it all the way open, I can appreciate this style.Simple handles and a shoulder strap round it out, on the other outside surface we find a well-fixed horizontal strap which I must assume is for slipping over the pull handle on wheeled luggage. Can’t go wrong with Targus, be sure to measure so your device will settle in nicely before ordering- my big HP didn’t make the cut, but it works well with an older Toshiba I drag around occasionally.

for slimmer 15" laptops
This looks nice and works well, but it's not for 15" gaming laptops or thicker laptops. It's a thin bag and it will fit a more modern thinner 15" laptop. It won't fit a lot of extras, but you can fit some papers and some more small stuff. If you add more than that, it looks bulgy. If you do have a thinner laptop, it works well and looks pretty good. I like it.
