Authentic,super tasty👍
The media could not be loaded. Received it today but as said by other reviewers the packaging is not good.I just got lucky that the rice didn’t spill out.But the product itself is very good!Couldn’t wait anymore and I cooked it immediately in my Instant pot and it turned out to be absolutely awesome🙂For those willing to cook in Instant pot I cooked it in pot in pot method for 25 minutes under high pressure followed by Natural release!Rinse rice well at least 3 times. Then add water. For 1cup of rice I added 2/3cup+ 3tbsp of water and the rice was soft, sticky, chewy & perfectly glossy with a perfect bite which I love the most.Zoom in to see the texture! So authentic and it just was how it supposed to be..happy customer 😍I just wish they had sealed the tip of the bag with some glue/tape as it was just folded and could have opened easily in the transportation:(Please look into this as the product is expensive and we cannot afford to loose all the grain!

Great for making Mochi in Mochi Machine
This arrived in great shape. Paper rice bag was wrapped firmly in a plastic bag covering, which prevented the bag breakage many people seemed to experience in the past. I soaked the rice for probably close to 20 hours and used a Mochi machine to steam and pound the rice. It worked wonderfully, and made a delightfully stretchy and chewy Mochi. I'm looking forward to making it again and recommend it to people who are making Mochi from rice. Great product, and I love knowing it is grown in the US by a family who has been growing rice for several generations.

Loose seal, came infested with bugs
Ordered this rice to make mochi from scratch, and the seal was super loose when I opened it and there were small bugs moving all throughout the rice. I know sometimes there may be a bug or so because of the process of harvesting but there's too many in here and it makes me feel as though it isn't safe to eat, which sucks because I heard good things about this brand and spent like 35 bucks for it

WONDERFUL SWEET RICE!!!
I love to buy products from small businesses...and this company is a small biz in California. This Sweet Rice is more expensive than others, but well worth it. Yes, the bag was not tightly sealed, but arrived intact.I made multiple BIG mistakes on my first attempt as I soaked this Sweet Rice for only 1 hour, then cooked it in my Zojirushi Induction heating rice cooker. A big failure as this rice needs to be soaked in an abundance of water for 24 hours (yes, 24 hours), then STEAMED, turning the rice over after 30-45 minutes. I used my bamboo steamer and it took about an hour and a half to fully soften. A lot of work using the makeshift bamboo steamer, lined with parchment paper, over a pot of boiling water. The rice came out deliciously sweet and sticky, but did stick to the parchment. So, on the hunt I went for a professional Rice Steamer.I just purchased a Zojirushi Rice STEAMER NHS-06/10/18 at the Zojirushi website and on sale for $47.99 in color BLACK. Free Shipping. It has received wonderful reviews! Amazon only has the color white available.Looking forward to making this rice on a weekly basis!

My go-to sweet rice
There is no better sweet rice for dishes like Taiwanese sticky rice (you fan) and I’ve been buying these for years. Unfortunately, I hear the company is going out of business and is being sold.
