Great book that gives you a good feel for where you need to focus when maintaining a Series Land Rover. It gives you excellent general directions and is a good complement to the official workshop manual and other more detailed instructions. After reading, you feel like an experienced mechanic who can put all the details into perspective. Also very good pictures.

This publication will help me greatly as I rebuild a 1965 Series 2A Land Rover. Great price, too!

very easy to read I like the style of writing has some very good tips and hints, yes you could get some of this info from a forum as another reviewer has stated but why waste the time when it is all here and written by someone who has years of experience working on land rovers so you know the info and advice is correct. I have 4 series Landovers and a new 110 so know a fair bit but there are bits in this that I have not come across beforewell worth the price.

Brilliant book. Well written and hugely informative. Its not a manual - but provides much needed advice and background on maintenance, upgrades and restoration. Loads of years of experience in here. Best used in conjunction with Haynes and/or workshop manual.

No better than an old Haynes manual. You will find any modification details in far more detail on the internet. This book is ok for the Land Rover novice first timer. Join a club forum and you will learn far more than what's in this book, save yourself some money!
