I've been using this camera for about a month. I encountered problems with the initial installation, but this was due to my VPN. Once the VPN was disabled, installation went as described in the manual. Day light picture quality is good. Night vision is average. Its missing some features important to me, like support for HTTPS and guest accounts, I configured my router for remote camera access, which worked fine via HTTP, but I was unable to configure the recommended app (iSmCam) for remote access. I ended up purchasing Onvifer for remote access. Unfortunately Onvifer does not support some camera controls. You can create predefined views, but during the course of a month, the camera has lost these view settings three times requiring me to re-enter them (frustrating). I purchased the camera on sale for $119. For the price its an acceptable basic outdoor wireless camera.

PTZ IP Dome Camera ReviewI like this camera overall quite a bit but the customer service was one of the best I experienced on Amazon. I ordered this right after I had to return a very similar camera because of major setup problems. Not knowing what to expect I read the clear and colorful instructions (42 pages English) and found it easy to setup the camera to my Wi-Fi. I was prepared for another possible ordeal like I had with that previous camera. It worked great.But I had quite a few questions about using the computer software and some of the camera’s functions. I contacted customer service and I quickly heard back from Abby. Over the course of a couple of weeks she quickly would respond to my many technical questions. She even checked back to see if I had any more questions. That’s good service.After 30 days of using Tonton 1080P PTZ IP Dome camera it’s worth 5 stars. I give customer service (Abby) 5 stars. My only minor complaint is not with the camera it’s the App. It functions quite well but could use an upgrade. The computer software is much better and gives you many more options.

while the camera itself has great quality of focus and functions great up close, the wireless connection drops out frequently and is frustrating trying to use it line-of-sight about 100 feet from my office to the top of my carport. the app sucks big time. really tried to make this work on my 5g network and without the 5g wireless. nothing helped. up close its functions would drop out. too bad because the camera is great when the wireless is connected. every time it loses connection it has to reset.

For an outside camera, the wires from the camera were very short. They barely get thru the eaves. The camera froze when I used the tonton suggested app o my pc. Had reinit the camera. Mine hangs from my garage peak. So it' was good planning on my part to hardwire the camera. otherwise , I would have had to take it down, which would not have been easy. The camera lens does not have a wide image.

This camera is fantastic - sometimes when the weather is not great you have to move it and get it to auto focus because it will go out of focus and get a little fuzzy but it easily corrects itself. I had a little trouble getting it connected to my recorder but after getting that done it works flawlessly - you still have to reconnect it after your system updates because it sometimes doesn't auto connect but it's great that it works from a stand alone app and SD card and that it integrates with the recorder and shows up on that app along with the rest of the cameras. It has a great zoom and the pan and tilt features are awesome as well! I haven't used the 2 way audio much but the time I tried it my grandkids heard me fine but I think I need to check volume because there was a great deal of distortion on my end for trying to hear them I could not understand what they were saying. Overall --- LOVE this camera

It works great until you lose power, this happens at least every Sunday where I live. After that it loses its memory on connecting to your wi fi. Mine no longer connects at all. Purchased it in April. went through cust. svc. and tech help, even youtube, nothing worked. It now sits on top of a pole looking into nowhere. after every power outage the dome will re-start than move around for a few minutes than stop.

After I figured out how to resolve the problems I was having with this camera I recommend this camera highly. The first issue was my Wi-Fi connection always dropped..That was due to the camera on the front side of the house and my modem in the basement on the back side of my house. I did not want to hardwire a ethernet cable from front of my house to back of my house so I used a Amazon product called TP-link AV powerline ethernet adapter for $34. Next I was having a pink screen appear on my tablet. In order to get rid of that I had to select system settings and choose reset button. Do not use reboot,only use reset,that will get rid of your pink screen. I dealt with customer service several times and finally had to figure out what I needed on my own. Abby in customer service was very helpful but she did not recommend ethernet adapter to correct the majority of my problems. I'm passing this information on to those that are experiencing the same thing I did.This will fix your problems.

just added this to my hard wired 8 channel TonTon system that I've had for a while now. I learned that I could have a PZT camera as I was setting up the system. Just recently started looking for a hardwired camera. After finding one from another manufacturer that I thought would work I contacted customer service to confirm it would. Abby recommended a wireless camera (didn't know I could use a wireless camera with this system? Abby not just saved me money buying the wireless camera but saved me the time to run the wires. I am not great with computers and she was also very helpful helping me navigate the connectivity. I am very happy with the camera, the app for the wireless camera and the pairing of it to the hardwired system.
