OEM Quality, Budget Value
I used these to replace an old filter assembly on a Hayward Pro Series 6020DE filter. The old filter grids were unknown age, but had cracked pieces inside and a couple of tears/holes in the fabric. I was noticing haziness in my pool that wasn't clearing with chemical balance or repeated filter backwash/cleanings, and guessed that it was probably DE leaching back into the pool from the old failing grids.I undid the entire assembly and ordered these to replace the old grids. Re-assembling was not an easy process, but that is not unique to this product and more of a comment about pool filter assemblies in general. To put it back together, I notched the "short element" first (this is the filter that is not quite as wide as the others - there is only 1 of them in the box). Notch it in correctly by finding the "opening" in the bottom circular piece of the assembly - it looks like a pie with a triangle cut out, that is your opening. Count 3 notches (L shaped corners inside the circle) to the right, and fit your short piece in so that it comes to cover half of that original opening. After that, just keep notching the larger pieces in the following corners to create a spiral pattern. Re-position your top piece and wiggle them in one by one into the circular openings - once they're all fit back in, screw it down with the nut until it's all nice and secure. After 1 day of replacing the filters with these, my pool haziness cleared up and it was crystal clear to the bottom again. I have only had them a week, so I can't speak to their longevity. However, they seem to be made of good quality fabric and I hope they will last several years with proper care.

Almost 4 years and still in great shape!
I've had these filter grids for almost 4 years and they are still in great shape. I live in the Phoenix AZ area so we get blazing hot summers and these grids have held up to the heat. Backwashing and cleaning the grids is always a chore so I don't do it as often as I should and the pressure gets high quite a bit but these have withstood that as well. Other aftermarket grids I've purchased did not last as long as the plastic grids usually would break and then cause a tear in the fabric. The plastic in the Pleatco grids are still intact and material has held up well. They are also easy to install. The way to do it is to lay the manifold upside down on a flat surface and place your grids in the manifold and make sure that the grids are placed correctly so they line up in the slots. Then you take the bottom bracket and place them on top and kind of do a slight twisting motion back and forth until the filters line up with the slots. It usually takes me less than a minute to do that but it takes some practice.I highly recommend these filters even though they cost a bit more than other brands. I plan to buy a back up set soon and will post a follow up review to let you know how long these last. I hope to get another year or 2 out of them.

Worked perfect on my Hayward Filter that is greater than 15 years old.
Easy to install if you remove the top of the filter frame and replace them one at a time. Don't dump them all out and try to replace them all at once if you can help it.

Half the price compared to local stores
These were delivered super fast and worked great in my pentair fns plus. They were half price compared to local stores for the exact brand.

No problem fitting in a Pantair FNS Plus 60
I didn't know what I was going to find when I opened the filter since I have never clean it myself before. I'm always skeptical when the pool guy does it so I watched a bunch of Youtube videos on how to do this and bought parts that I thought I needed to try the job myself. The price on this is a bargain at $135 for the set shipped. I got all 8 required pieces and box was immaculate.Taking the filter apart was easy enough. There were a few snags, but that has more to do with my lack of experience and age of the pool equipment. Trying the "easy way" by replacing one panel at a time did not work in my case before the internal pieces were caked with old DE. There was no room to use slide the new filters one at a time. So I took all the pieces out and disassembled the manifold to wash everything out.As it turned out, once the caked on DE and dirt and grime were washed off, 7 out of 8 old filters were still in pretty good shape. I did install the new filters anyway and just kept the old ones on the box, they can be used in the future if I needed it. So to the guy who complained that he had to buy another for additional money, I'm not sure why he didn't just reuse one of the old panels.Ran the pool for a few hours, added the DE and see no leak so far. I think this whole endeavor was worthwhile for me to get to know my pool. The price on the filter is excellent. Compare these to what came out of my pool (Leslie Store Brand) and they are almost identical. But I think even Leslie sells these very same grids on-line now.

Quality, Installation Instruction for Pleatco PFS3060
This product consisted of a complete set of DE grids for my 60 SQ FT Hayward DE Pool filter. The product was delivered in accordance with the quoted delivery time. The product was delivered with adequate protection in a large cardboard box. The price offered was very competitive. The installation instructions were vague. Installation of these grids within the filter tank for a first time novice was at best challenging. Grids have to be installed within in a specific pattern aligning with the plastic base, individual grid by grid which for me was extremely difficult to align. After watching a few you tube videos, I was able to reassemble the new grids within my filter tank. The grids appear to be of high quality, possibly better than OEM.How well do they work - I do not know since I replaced these grids at the end of our swim season in Alabama and the filter will not be in operation till next spring! This was a challenging rebuild for my filter but could be accomplished by any novice with minimal mechanical skills. On the basis of the quality of the Pleatco grids, I have complete confidence they will work as good or better than the original OEM's.Tom

Great replacement for a great value!
If your grids are broken - even a few - then your filter isnโt as effective as it should be. You will save money by buying this set over purchasing a handful individually at the pool store. Great replacement quality- the OEM last longer but are much more expensive. For my money that longevity difference is negligible.Good luck.
