This was a gift to my husband who likes dragons. He absolutely loved it, and thought it was pretty cool. The incense cones that came with it smelled great as well. I wanted to give this product 5 stars because it was so nifty and worked wonderfully. However, we quickly realized that since the smoke is funneled down, it is concentrated to the holder and the table it sat on. The smoke left a tar residue on everything it touched....meaning that after only a single use, the holder was sticky with tar, and so was the table it sat on. We scrubbed and scrubbed, and got the tar off, but we couldn't get the tar smell off. And no, the tar did not smell anything like the lovely fragrance initially put off by the cones...just old burnt tar. Our table now has a permanent smoke-tar smell in that corner. The initial incense was great, but the after-affect was awful. We tried using it several more times but put an old towel under it to absorb the tar and smell. The holder was literally dripping with tar after only 3 cones. Using a towel under it mostly worked; the holder still stinks and we tossed the towel, and the table didn't get *as much* of the smell on it. But is it really worth it to wash the holder after each use and have a designated tar-towel?? Basically, if you have a non-smoking household and enjoy the occasional incense, the product is probably not for you. The left over smoke/tar smell definitely overpowered any initial incense smell and was not worth adding the stink to our house. However, if you use it outside or in a home with heavy smokers, you probably won't notice the tar smell as much or be as bothered by it (just being honest). Unfortunately, I feel that most backflow incense burners will have the same issue as they all function the same way. We have not tried any other backflow burners; will post an update if we try another. We've used traditional incense burners for decades and have never had this problem. So that being said; maybe this product itself still deserves 5 stars as it did work as intended, but it is just a downside for all similar backflow products. Either way, be advised. It was too stinky for us to continue to use. Highly disappointed. In the pictures I posted with this review, the tar shown is after a single use.

Very disappointed with this product. It was going to be a gift for my boyfriend and I read some of the reviews and wanted to test it before I gave it to him. I’m glad I did because the cones lasted about 8 minutes and the last minutes of it burning it didn’t have enough smoke to reach the bottom. After burning the cone completely I noticed a burning smell that smelled like burnt chemicals and there was a sticky yellow residue left on the burner which smelled up my room. Design was pretty but not what I had hoped for.

The version pictured was much more detailed, and the incense cones included barely emit any smoke (which smells more ashy than incense-y). It definitely resembles what was being advertised, but it doesn't look or behave like it should.

Bought for a Christmas gift. Love it. Very unique.
