Getting some good results for close up face shots and to light up small objects for ebay
First impressions are good, the light comes in a nice padded case to keep it safe in transit.I set the light up, mounted my iPhone on the supplied camera mount and hotshoe type tripod head and took a couple of face shots, i was very surprised how good the skin looks when well lit, so much compared to the unlit shot i took for comparison its amazing. The light has a dimmer control which i’m really glad of, the minimum amount of light it can give is required for close up face shots, any more is too much.I own a Rottwelier dog which is black and tan and my house is furnished with almost black furniture so i’ve always struggled to get good photos of the dog at home, he usually blends in so you can hardly see him, only extreme photo editing can make him appear, with the LED ringlite i’ve been getting some really nice natural looking well lit shots of him.I haven’t tried the orange filters on it yet but they look easy to fit and remove. The mains power supply has 6ft long cables either side of the power adaptor so its is useable in most places without having to hunt for an extension cable. The stand is very solid and folds down smaller than other lighting stands i have and extends to almost 6ft making it the perfect height for portrait shots while stood up.

Excellent light unit with versatile modes.
I brought this LED Ring Flash primarily for video work as I will be shooting some macro footage on my Lumix GH5. I recently brought a large ring light and love the look so much that I wanted to use something similar for my macro.Build Quality. The build quality is good for the price, its very light and feels like it is built to last. It comes with several adaptors to fit the end of your lens and once the adaptor is attached to your lens you squeeze the clips on the ring light to attach it to the adaptor.Functionality.The ring light has several settings on the display. You can choose to have the light on permanently (which is how I will use it the most), flash mode, pilot and you can adjust the brightness to suit. You can also choose to increase and decrease different sides of the light which can create some very cool effects. There is also two types of colour adaptor for the led, a blue and a yellow ring.Video work and battery life. The unit takes 4x AA batteries. I purchased a few cheap batteries and it was a beast for draining them in video work, I think I will be purchasing some high quality rechargeables to suit my video work. If you are working in flash mode this certainly would not be a problem, however I do recommend good quality batteries.OverallI like the unit a lot, it is very light (in both ways!) and it is a great addition to my GH5. The lightness of the unit will be fantastic for my video work. Well worth the price.I hope you found this review helpful.

Exceeds expectations
I wasn't expecting anything great for this price tag, however I was pleasantly surprised.I would said this is a powerful flash for this price range. It has wide range of different flash levels which means I can trade-off the recycle time against flash power to get the balance that I want. It also has three types of flash mode ie S1, S2 and M.In term of build, this flash gun is well made and sturdy and its flash head can be turned 360 degree. It even has a pull out diffuser with white card reflector. However keep in mind that like other kit of this kind, it is a battery guzzler and advise to use the rechargeable batteries as I do and you won't be disappointed.overall, the quality has been good and results very acceptable. It works well with both my Nikon D80 and D339. Highly recommend to amateur photographer who is on budget.

REALLY LIKE THIS
First time using a Speedlite after having rejected using the inbuilt camera flash due to mostly Over /Under-exposed and Flat looking results in certain situations where the use of the Flash was a necessity. I decided to take a chance on this due to price and other reviews. And I am thus far Really IMPRESSED !!.There has been a bit of a learning curve for me as i am new to the whole Speedlite thing But the Results thus far in both Indoor and Outdoor usage have had me cursing myself for Not purchasing one of these before.!Definitely has allowed for more picture taking opportunities and keepers from using this flash. It forces me to use the M mode on my camera a lot more and thats a good thing Too. I have already grasped the Benefits of Bouncing the Flash and an Appreciation of Angles and Shadows. Now I am looking forward to a few Planned Travel Opps to Fully test the Speedlite as well. Eventually i might venture to purchase a ETTL Speedlite so i have both to experiment with but for now this is certainly a Boost to my photography and i wholeheartedly Endorse it.

A real ringer...
I read a lot of reviews also looked on You Tube.. I like it.. In Common with some Chinese products not heavily branded.. I took the samitan label of the simple brown packaging stuck it on my instructions...Using with my 17-50 zoom.. At 17mm switched on you get a bright ring of light.., switched off you get vignetting...One review on YouTube of Polaroid.. obviously same unit... It appears this unit does not like rechargeable batteries and can shut down when maxing power... Also the set button is purely for decoration!!I think it is good for the money... And oh cos you can't read numbers on adaptors that well I rubbed a smidgen of white paint and wiped of excess... Its very good.. Maybe an a/c adaptor would be an Improvement to... not a pro unit.. still very good go but it folks!!!
