My first impression after a quick try on in the store was wow very nice gloves! When I got home and put them on again, I realized the index finger and thumb were a bit long. It started to bother me a bit while riding so I decided to purchase another pair in one size smaller. Bad idea... It fit a little better in the fingers but still a bit too long plus tight in the palms. I decided to keep the first pair (XL) I bought in the store and I will return the second pair (L) this weekend. Another thing is the stitching in the palms are coming loose already after just two days. The name is also pealing off the index finger. I'm really disappointed in these gloves because they look and feel great but the quality just isn't there. The finger length problem seem to be a design flaw or a bad batch b/c I've read another review with similar issues. For this price I expected better quality.

Great glove, take a little bit for them to break in but faster that they fit very well. Great value and protection.

These are excellent gloves.

First off, sizing since that is always a big concern when ordering stuff online. I am between L and XL depending on the brand of gloves. If the XL fits, sizes run small and if the L fits, sizes run large. I tried these on at Cycle Gear to make sure I got the right size and that would be an L. And, even that L is slightly (only slightly) large on me. So, sizes run large. Also, the thumb is rather long. The fingers are a perfect fit on my hand, but the thumb has about 1/2 an inch extra.Next is the armor. The only hard armor is on the knuckle and the 2 middle fingers. In both cases the armor is raised a fair amount from the glove. Some people like that, some don't. The pointer finger has one long and flexible piece of padding over top of it and the pinky finger has three harder foam pads on the outside rather then the top. I would assume this is becasue your pinky is more likely to hit on the side then the top. There is more of the harder foam on the thumb and some on the bottom on the palm in case you put your hand down in a slide situation.The leather on top is reasonably thick. It could have been thicker, but at this price the thickness is what you would expect. The leather on the inside of the fingers is thin, which is a good thing. It keeps the fingers nice and flexible. There is another layer on the top of the palm with some rubberizing on it for better grip on the bars. Is doesn't do much. I would call it more of a flexible plastic then rubber. There is also an extra layer on the bottom of the palm around the padding/soft armor to protect during a slide.The cuff of the glove goes past your wrist by about 2 inches. There is some elastic over the wrist to help keep it there since the only adjustment is past your wrist in the form of a Velcro strap. This one one of my main complaints. The wrist tension is set by that elastic, so if you have a thick or thin wrist your can't adjust the glove. I wish the wrist had the Velcro and the cuff had the elastic. Luckily it fits me, but it could easily be a problem for others.Riding season. I would call these mid to late spring and early to mid fall gloves. There is some perforations in the leather around the edges, between the fingers and a little over the back of the hand. There is not enough venting for this to be a true summer glove. Probably over about 85° F (30° C) these gloves will be too hot and below 60° F (15° C) these will be too cold.
