Purchased this specifically for use with my band - we play live shows and wanted something to add to the top of our effects lighting stand that would help add a "party like atmosphere" and well, that was the discussion anyway. All of us recall blacklight posters and blacklight parties where all the lights are turned off and the only light is from a blacklight casting that eerie "glow" all around. Well, this light the OPPSK 27W 9LEDs Dimmable Blacklight Bar is just awesome. It fills the room (24' X 24') with no trouble at all and love love love the remote control feature! It arrived fast and is well made and had that real quality "feel" you would expect from more expensive lights. Highly recommended for party use. And if you need more coverage, it is inexpensive so you can easily buy more than one. Also, it fit perfectly on top of my 12' Chauvet light stand and bolted right in no problems! Solid and sturdy.

Remote Control Fixed: like other users, I had a problem with the remote control. It worked right out of the box, but by the time I got the light installed where I wanted it. The remote did not work. I swapped batteries with another remote unit that I knew was working, and that didn't help. Then I tried a name-brand battery, instead of the battery that came with it, in this case, it was an Energizer battery. The remote control then worked fine. I swapped batteries around with other remotes, and all the Chinese-made batteries worked fine for the other remotes, but none of them worked for the blacklight remote. One symptom I noticed was that at first, the little red light on the remote would not come on when pressing any buttons, but with the energizer battery, it lights up with every push of the button. A strange other fact is that my other remotes have that little red light, but none of those remotes will light up with the cheap batteries, yet they still work. They won't even light up with the Energizer. But the blacklight remote lights up, as well as works as it should, with the right battery.

Feeling conflicted because this is already hung up nicely on my wall, but when its turned on- an extremely high pitched sound emits. The remote also does not work besides the power button and the strobe button. Most of the buttons don't seem to do anything. Did I recieve a faulty unit or is this normal for this product?

I paid extra money for the remote and I pulled out the plastic tab and hold it down for longer than a second as stated in the manual and the remote doesn't DO ANYTHING. I'll probably return it even though the light works great. You're throwing money in the garbage by buying this version.

With the the reviews saying how bright this was I bought 1. Its true, its very bright when you look directly at it, but it only makes things "glow" for 12 feet of so in all directions, which is impressive, but you will need 1 on each side of the room to really make things "glow"

I barely used this thing a few times & the cord is already self destructing. The remote NEVER worked once. Tried a different brand new battery.It's a shame because it would be a nice light.

Good light, bought for a birthday party. Puts off a brighter light than expected, but you can adjust down a little. Overall was a good light. Neons, and uv paint/markers pop as expected from a blacklight.

I received the black light and remote. The remote works (I see light remote little read light turning on/off) but it is not paired to the light. These are two separate products. Very very strange. I am returning the light and remote combo and just buying the light.
