Travelers Notebook Cover with 4 Elastics, Inner Pocket + Card Sleeve, Distressed Brown Genuine Leather, Standard Size

I bought this travelers notebook on a whim. To be honest I bought it for no other reason but to post a review on my Stationery Nerd website. Imagine my surprise when this arrived in the mail and I was blown away by the high quality of the leather and craftsmanship. The leather is pristine, heavy-weight and thick, but not stiff, and buttery smooth. The beautiful smell of leather always makes me happy.The only downside is the pen loop. In the picture you'll notice that it was first glued in place, then stitched to the inside back cover (on the secretarial pocket) and along the edge of the TN. When you put a pen in the loop the pen fits great (even my thicker fountain pens fit just fine)... BUT, the pen is "inside" the TN and the inserts lay on top of the pen. So it's awkward and clunky. I ended up removing the pen loop completely (carefully use a seam ripper to remove the stitches on the pocket side, then cut the leather off along the edge and leave the part that's still stitched to the edge). I have one of those brass/leather pen loop clips on order so I'll just place it where the ugly marks are (I probably could have been gentler with the removal of the pen loop).Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to use this for... because I NEED to hold it and use it. It's worthy of more than just a mere review on the site. LOL! Even with the pen loop issue, this travelers notebook is 100% a must-buy item. Stationery Nerd Approved!

I have a couple CS Traveler's notebooks but needed to find a more "lower budget" version for a gift so I thought I'd give this notebook a try. I have to say, it's gorgeous. The leather smells wonderful. The construction seems solid. And it just looks beautiful. It's hard to believe the price given the quality of the notebook. Don't hesitate. Especially if you're jumping into the traveler's notebook craze for the first time, this is a great "entry level" cover. But if you're a seasoned TNer... don't let that stop you from giving this one a try. Really beautiful. Thank you!

Soft smooth leather to the touch,durable stitching,smells wonderful.5 pockets and 4 strong bands inside,1 to wrap around,& pen loop.scuffs easily,but I truly appreciate the workmanship that went into making these.I bought the dark & light brown.possibly will purchase the black one later.I have 4 inserts,a calendar,4 top loading pockets,paper clips,stickies,cards,washi tape,bookmarks,& so much more inside.I hope they will get more colors in!purchase it.you won't regret it.for those of us wishing we had chic sparrow-this one is @ least affordable & very lovely.also comes in a lightweight box w/thank you sticker on it.it also has its own bag,key fob,&earphones leather strap!

It's difficult to see the color of my planner from the photos I posted - the last picture from one of my videos is the clearest representation of my cover color. I ordered the lighter color, and it was quite a bit darker than I expected it to be. I decorated the covers of the interior booklets (also purchased here on Amazon).This traveler's notebook was quite stiff when I got it and I just didn't like it very much, until I took everything out and rolled it like a baseball glove, which did soften it quite a bit. It also gave it a well worn look, which I really do like, but if you don't, a simple leather conditioner would do the trick as far as making it look less worn. .I purchased multiple inserts here on Amazon that fit beautifully in this traveler's notebook; however, I did not use four of the inserts. Given the constraints of a standard size (vs an A5 size) traveler's notebook, 4 books made it too difficult for me to easily write inside, but 3 inserts worked out really well.Many people complained about the pen loop, with some even cutting it off. Please don't do that. I softened mine up a bit by rolling it a little with my finger and moving it to the side. It immediately sat in the correct spot, allowing my notebooks to sit comfortably beside it, but not over it. The pen loop also comfortably fit my favorite pen, a Uniball Signo 207. Using the pen loop keeps the book ready at any time, anywhere.This turned out to be a really impressive traveler's notebook. I love the worn look and the flexibility the additional bands gave me more room to grow. This is a good solid traveler's notebook, sturdy enough to go anywhere, and a real pleasure to use.

Great real leather cover. I have been carrying daily for over a month and it keeps getting better. I was originally disappointed that it did not come with any inserts but they are easy to find and inexpensive. Card pockets are stiff but that is to be expected.

I was excited to get this as I hadn't been able to find one with pockets/card holders that I liked. I'm a stickler on quality and this cover is overall it's not too bad, but the pen holder location is terrible! The pads do not lay flat and they stick out just past the edge with 3 moleskin pads in it. It's not quite so bad with 2 of them, but they do not lay inside the pen loop so there is no way to have a flat writing surface. I cut mine off, which is 100x better, but be aware that the stitching goes through to front of cover so your stitches will come unraveled. It is leather, though I can see why some reviews say it's fake as the was finished on the inside cover. Hoping it breaks in and doesn't stay so shiny smooth. It does NOT come with any pads.

Great cover, I love that it has pockets and pen loop. It’s good quality, the price is great and it is a bit bigger than standard ones. I have 4 books inside it, plus 2 kraft folders and 2 zip and cards slots folders. And with all these the cover closes well and nothing pops out of it.

A Christmas gift from my husband. The package is closed with a beautiful label which gives a good first impression. I wasn't disappointed. Opening the box, the notebook came in its own dust bag which is large enough to allow the inserts to expand.Having researched this type of TN, the cover itself is by far the best I've seen, I appreciate the fact that the leather is excellent quality, very sturdy and yet still has stitching all around the edge. There are four pockets inside the front cover, one the length of the TN plus three credit card slots. Inside the back cover is a single pocket and pen loop.There are four elastics for the TN inserts and I'm sure that further straps could be used to add more should they be required/needed. There certainly seems to be room.Can highly recommend.

This is a beautiful notebook. I have all of the standard edition Traveler's Company tns but this just has a bit more space and pockets as well. It is an absolute bargain and if there was a black edition I would snap it up in a heartbeat. Very happy.

Very impressed with this travelers notebook cover for the price. It is a distressed leather which will become more so with use as it scratches very easily. I like that amount of pockets and the fact it has 4 strings. It is wider than the standard TN which may allow for tabs to be put on the side of notebooks without the pen loop getting in the way. Not sure how to use this yet, but it gives a lot of scope for setting up. It would have been nice if it came with at least one notebook.

Totally beautiful notebook cover that is incredible value for money.I am honestly more than happy with it. Sturdiness, stitching and quality are amazing for the price I have paid for this. The leather will age beautifully over time. Highly recommended for a perfect notebook cover.
