This is one of the best investments that I’ve made for my wife. I am no tailor but this machine is designed for beginners. My wife and I occasionally spend $10-$15 each to hem our pants. It’s just getting expensive to do such a simple hem. We decided to invest on this sewing machine to see how things go.Pros:- manual: cant really go wrong with the manual. I lists out every single components and all the basic steps that you need for your first job (posted picture)- light and compact: the machine is so compact one might mistake it as a toy.- simplicity: comes with 12 built-in stiches for your different needs. That’s basically what a beginner needs.It might sound a little contradictory but for an absolute beginner with no basic sewing skill, he/she would need to take time to read the manual and do some practice before actually sewing something. I learned it from a hard way. There are many buttons that one might think it should’ve combined with other functionalities but it’s designed for a specific purpose. Overall, this is a great gift/purchase for those who wanted to get their feet wet for some sewing projects in the summer.

I have past experience with sewing machines, I am very mechanically minded, I have repaired carburetors, vacuums, electric guitars, etc. I read the instructions very carefully and watched multiple videos to rule out any user error.This machine is crap. Power cut in and out intermittently under regular operation right out of the box. When power was working, the bottom thread would randomly stitch & not stitch, even with thinnest possible fabric. On my final attempt to use the machine, the thread take up arm completely disconnected itself and was only attached by a giant wad of thread knotted inside the machine.Unbelievable.

1.This is what has arrived instead of the black one (it’s marked as a black one on the box). This color is not even an option on Amazon.2.Im not taking a star off for a small space on the right hand - it’s a mini machine. But. It doesn’t have speed control on the pedal as it stated!!! Instead it has a super weird control.. I should make a video on it as there is no real life video on YouTube.... when the switch on the position OFF the machine has light on and works from a pedal (every time you pick on the pedal the light goes off for 2-3 seconds then the light comes back and it starts sewing), when you turn the switch into L or H - the light goes off again for a few seconds and the machine starts sewing without the pedal!!!!!!3. It does seem to be well build and going strong...just very stupid and unsafe way to turn it on and off.4. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.5. It is too fast for beginners. Although it’s a slow thinking machine at the same time.

Good sewing machine but sometimes the foot pedal stops working. Also if you decide to sew patches you need to purchase heavy duty needles the needles that came with machine will break in half or bend.

A nice, handsome, and well-made sewing machine! The instructions are detailed and helpful. I haven't use a sewing machine for years since my old machine broke so I thought it might take some time to learn how to a new sewing machine. But it's so easy to use where it didn't take much time at all. Unlike my old machine, the fabric runs thru smoothly and the finish is quite good so I am very pleased. The needle on this machine is easy to thread which is another plus.

This machine hasn't worked from day 1. Bobbin thread pick up only occurs about 1 in every 50 attempts, if that. Uneven, loopy and tangled stitching is constant and not corrected by tension adjustments as advertised. It's a headache in a box!! I only wish I would have tried it out sooner so I could have a shot at returning it. Just wanted a basic, straight stitch for hemming.....NOT WITH THIS MACHINE.

The machine works okay but the power keeps cutting out. It will work for a while but then I can’t do anything as the power completely shuts off light and all. These power shortages are very inconvenient for the large project I’m working on

I was so excited to receive this sewing machine ahead of the projected time. Unfortunately after sewing a few tests pieces I realized something was wrong. The lights would flicker on and off and the pedal would stop working without warning. Thinking it must just be a problem with connection I continued to work with the machine and experience similar issues. Then, it stopped working altogether, refused to run thread and then wouldn't complete full stitches. I was using a thin felt piece at the time so it should have been able to handle it despite its small size. I'm not sure if its an isolated case or of others have had a similar problem but wanted to kind of outline what went on just in case. If the product had worked I'd be giving a wonderful review right now because it was extremely easy to use up until I experiences issues and is a great small sewing machine for beginners with useful instructions and easy to understand operating functions. Unfortunately mine just decided not to work.
