It's ok but not as good as it could be
Undeterred by the less than helpful 1 star review, I decided to give this product a go. It isn't cheap at £60 so I was hoping for great things. The design intrigued me, the jets up the back with mesh lumbar is the right way to go for this sort of thing. Being pressed up against a ventilated seat is no good because the air has nowhere to go. This product solves that issue by forcing air up from the seat base behind the mesh support. That's the theory anyway.The practice is... underwhelming. Actually with a few tweaks I think this could be an excellent product. The suction on the fan is superb and the noise level in low speed very quiet, certainly inaudible over road noise. Speed 2 is a little more intrusive. The cooling effect on the seat section is excellent, actually its a little too good. If you like your legs cold, this is definitely the product for you. For me, I like a lot of cooling on my back and very little on my legs. The effect on my back was minimal at best, at either speed. Adjusting the lumbar produced differing results but ultimately, I found the lumbar too firm, making me feel a little contorted in my seat. If I slackened it off, the cooling effect on my back reduced to almost nothing.So three stars - I think this could be a great product if the air pressure from the back was increased and seat base pressure reduced. But for now, I'll return it as it just isn't good enough, especially at the premium price point.
