Surprisingly nice on picky feet
I've only had these shoes a day but it's clear to me that these shoes are a cut above other shoes I've tried. As I've gotten older, my feet have become pickier. If the fit isn't right, they make my day hell. I had resorted to only playing in a pair of Under Armour cross trainers, which are amazing for golf btw, just to be able to walk without my feet screaming at me in a high, loud, whiney voice.I've tried several pairs of Foot-Joys and they were anything but a "joy" to wear. Sketchers, same, same.I used to be a golf professional and I tried to remember the most comfortable pair of shoes I ever wore. Nikes but Ecco has a reputation for being really comfortable. So off the cliff, I went.Admittedly, I took the lid off the budget perception I had and bought these after doing a lot of research. This shoe is at the top of most of the lists I reviewed. So here we are.I'm preparing for 5 days at Bandon Dunes and there are no carts on property and that's fine, I love to walk when I play but I needed good shoes that are waterproof.I got these yesterday and immediately put them on. On the advice of a good friend, I went a 1/2 size larger. The sizing here is 12-12.5, which may seem a little dicey not being a solid 12 or 12.5 but they were perfect. Depending on the shoe, I wear an 11 to a 12 so I took a chance these would be right and they are. I wanted to know if I was going to return them so I immediately put them on and walked around the house. They were initially a little tight, width-wise, but loosened up in short order to be really comfortable. The footbed is perfectly formed for my feet, oddly, and they feel like they walk you rather than the other way around. I kept them on for 4 or 5 hours and the more I wore them, the better they felt.Items of note: They have leather uppers and a sock-like insert that wraps your feet right up. I could feel the leather soften as I was wearing them and although they aren't mocassins, they sure felt like it. The insole is removable for extra width. I took it out just to see what that was like and it does provide a little extra width. Because I got them a little larger to take into account swelling when walking for an extended period, I won't need this, I think but we'll see. A nice feature to have anyway. The soles aren't too soft. The footbed, while conforming to my feet very nicely, isn't soft but is a bit firm. I'm a little concerned about this but they fit my feet so well that it may not be an issue. This shoe is very stable. I transfer my weight quickly back and aggressively through so for me, that's a good thing. Stability is key.I've taken up too much of your time already so to summarize, I got these, they fit great, are quality shoes and I'm keeping them. May even get a second pair. I'm going to walk in them for an extended time, hit some balls with them on, and see how it goes. If anything changes, I'll update my review. Fairways and greens!UPDATE: I took my new shoes to Bandon Dunes in Oregon for a week of golf. If you don't know, Bandon doesn't allow carts only walking. Over 5 days, I played 4 rounds on uneven terrain. My feet didn't hurt once. Not one time did I complain about my feet. This hasn't happened in a LONG time. I'm sold on these. The rest of my buddies can't say the same. For me, these shoes are worth every penny. Again, I've got seriously picky feet. My feet love these shoes.

Nice shoes
These aren't the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever owned. They are very waterproof, that's a huge plus. I have to wear wides in Adidas and Nike golf shoes, these are wide enough or soft enough that they feel fine in a medium. There's nothing fancy about the sole cushioning like the high end Adidas shoes. These feel more like the Adidas tech response shoes. We've had a very wet year so far. Lots of rain and mud on the courses, these don't pack with mud and the soles self clean really well.

Update after 5 rounds of golf
As other have said, they run large and the sizing is just wacky. I wear a size nine is most shoes and I would think a size 8 in EU would work fine. However, they come in 8-8.5. I feel mine are more like a 8.5 feel which would be a 9.5 US. That half size is large enough for my feet to not fit perfectly where my heel lifts. My heel lifts because my feet are narrow. If I size down further it would be way to small. I had to tie the shoes laces as tight as possible, but became uncomfortable where I had to loosen them up, but caused my heel to lift again.Others have noted they are already broken in and very comfortable. Well I find these the stiffest ECCO golf shoes I have ever worn. Then there is the bottom, after playing in a very dry course for one round and rising in a cart, the bottom has discolored already. How does blue soled shoes turn brownish green after one time use on the field?Update: after a few rounds, the shoes seemed to have broken in and feels less stiff. My heel still raises when I walk fast or in light jog to my ball. A couple adjustments and tying the shoes a couple times mid game seems to help. I have a great deal more traction on short wet grass than my previous Ecco biom and adidas hybrid golf shoes every had. I feel very stable and no longer worry about slipping after a driver/long iron shot.Second update:After a couple of more rounds of golf and playing in freezing temperatures. The shoes nearly met my expectations and justified the price. The traction is great and the comfort improved. My heal still lifts when walking fast. The shoes stretch a little more mid round and need to be tied again for adjustment. I wish I can give it a 4.5 star if I could.

Overall good shoes
Liked the styling and after 30 rounds this spring my feet never got wet. Liked that I can slip them on and remove the insole to dry.Very comfortable and light. Wide toe box and true to fit.Did not like that the toes are faded already.Arrived quickly.

Amazing Golf Shoes
The Ecco Biom C4 have to be the most comfortable golf shoes I have used. Granted, I have only use them twice since my purchase however, I was suffering from a lot of foot in back pain usually after about nine holes. Pain is gone now. Noted… They will not improve your golf game. At least they didn’t improve mine.

Great walkers
Walking 18 holes in these shoes is a real pleasure. Great fit and support.

Don't want to take them off
Have been sitting on purchasing these for quite some time as they are quite expensive, but my biggest reservation was the transition from a zero drop sole golf shoe (True OGs) that I was coming from to these which looked more like a traditional 4-6ml heel drop. The main concern was whether that would effect my golf swing as I did have issues in the past with a pair of spiked shoes that messed up my swing.I eventually decided to take the plunge and have not regretted it since. In fact I would say they somewhat improved my swing with the stability introduced which seemed to have assisted in the weight transition somehow. As everyone keeps mentioning, they truely are remarkably comfortable, so much so that I don't want to take them off and want to walk in them all day on and off the course. The inner sock lining makes for an easy on/off transition, with the laces double knotted, I simply slip on and off with no issues. What I do note and haven't seen mentioned in other reviews is that they are a more firmer footbed/sole (note that I have taken the inner sole out for more width) which could be why they feel sturdier and still allow you to feel the ground under your feet as opposed to a soft spongee type sole that masks the sensation. The other point I would point out is that the white sole walls do attract dirt that doesn't come off easily. I use a magic eraser sponge to get them looking white again. The grey magnet colourway are awesome and probably make it easier to keep clean compared to white. These are my first pair of Ecco shoes and I'm that impressed that I am looking to get an everyday sneaker with the BIOM tech as they are just super comfy. Do yourself a favour and don't hesitate to get a pair of these, you won't regret it.

Get one size smaller, fits big
I am a size 9, regular width and did the suggested size measurement, so I ordered a 9/9.5, as prior reviews indicated they fit true to size?? This is incorrect! There is more than a 1/2 inch gap from my big toe to the top of the shoe.I can say the shoe does feel like it fits ok, because of the meshed sock design and has not caused any problems after walking about 5 rounds. But I feel a size smaller in the ECCO line (8/8.5) would have been a better length, especially as leather shoes will tend to stretch a bit as they are worn more.As a side note, I got a size smaller (8) on my previous ECCO shoes and I should have known better, but thought that this newer design may be different. I would suggest any reviewers indicating the shoe fits to exact size have a wide foot or don't notice immediately because of the sock design of the shoe. This does hold the foot very well in the shoe, but I am not sure how long this will hold up as the sock design and the shoe leather will likely stretch with age.Overall a great shoe, water proof and good arch support. Only criticism is the sizing guidelines.

Most comfortable shoe but….
Okay, let’s get this straight… these are hands down the most comfortable golf show I’ve ever owned, supportive and fantastic grip but…The staining on the soles is terrible, absolutely terrible! This is coming from a guy who cleans his clubs and shoes after every round.I would buy these shoes again but definitely not in white. The soles look brutal after only a few rounds, for the money my only suggestion would be to not buy the white unless you don’t plan on wearing them for every round like I do.
