Left skin soft but very dry - needs better packaging
I had some serious concerns even before I opened the tube - which wasn't sealed in any way.... But even before I noticed that, the front label being crooked, poorly applied so that it wasn't adhered all around, and then a misspelling (the word "revel" was spelled "reval") on the back label, were all causes for concern. The instructions for use state to wash face prior to use, but don't suggest whether or not the skin should be left damp or wiped dry before applying the substance. I went with mostly dry, but next time I'll leave my face much more damp. The product is incredibly sticky and was difficult to spread (although, that might be because I didn't leave my face damp enough), and as a result I was left with several very thin patches that I didn't believe would peel off properly. However, after 15-20 minutes, the mask was dry and peeled off in more or less one large piece (certain spots tore because of the creasing around the nose and such). I didn't see anything ON the mask to suggest that it pulled out hair or blackheads, but my skin was noticeably softer, albeit VERY dry, after use. It was not painful to remove at all, so I don't think it pulled out any hair. I did have to work REALLY hard to rinse off the remaining bits that were too thin to pull off - mostly around the edges where I didn't spread a thick enough layer - as it is incredibly difficult to rinse because it is so sticky. All in all, I probably won't purchase it again, but only because I don't use products like this very often and can't really imagine needing more for quite some time. I would strongly suggest that the supplier do a better job of proof-reading their labels, and get some better packaging as the low-quality almost scared me out of using it at all.

Baby soft cheeks but what is that stench man?
After using it my skin did end up being soft to the touch and it didn't hurt when taking the mask off. I could see some nasty dead skins sticking to the dried up mask though I don't think it got rid of the black heads, but it did a good job as a light exfoliant I suppose. Two major reasons why I deducted two stars:1. It's isn't the easiest thing to put on, the concoction is quite thick and sticky, and it dries pretty fast as well. And that's the easiest part because I did not have the best time trying to rip this thing off. I ended up just rinsing off what I couldn't scrape off. It may also be user error in that I didn't put enough on but it's not like there's a ton of product in the tube to do that.2. Not sure if it was supposed to sting my eyes, but it stung my eyes. Yes, I did avoid putting it around the eye area but whatever was emanating from it was making my eyes water. Speaking of that, there was this almost sour(?), chemically smell that wasn't the most pleasant thing to get a whiff of when applying. Granted, this was my first charcoal product so maybe it's supposed to smell acidic and attack my eyes.Overall I would not buy it again but it was interesting to try the hype it didn't cost me an arm or leg to either.

Black mask, not necessairly for blackheads.
I bought this mask because of the viral videos showing a crazy amount of blackheads pulled out by using activated charcoal peel off masks.Unfortunately, for that reason I'm a little disappointed with this product. My hubby has a ton of blackheads in his nose and has used a certain name brand's pore-strips before and got way more blackheads out with the strip than with this mask. It is likely we didn't follow the instructions well, but if that's your intention for getting this mask, you might also be disappointed. However! I have fairly normal skin, and enjoy an occasional pampering, so I've used this mask for myself and liked it, for occasional pampering sessions... this thing does hang on more than other peel off masks I've used before. I learned that I have quite a few hairs on my cheek that i didn't know we're there! 😂😂 I will say that I noticed my skin was a little more clarified after using it.In summary - it's a nice mask, but don't expect to get a sheet of blackheads like in the YouTube videos.

Cleaned out my pores and left my face so soft!
I've seen advertisements for these kinds of masks all over Facebook, so I finally broke down and bought one. I was a little worried that it was going to tear my face off like I'd seen in some of the viral videos, but that thankfully didn't happen haha! This was very easy to apply and completely painless to remove. I've only had one other experience applying a black mask, but it wasn't for stripping pores (I think it was to remove oil and to moisturize). It was very sticky and goopy and very hard to apply, so I'm glad that this one is nothing like that! I will say that you need to use more than you think for it to dry completely opaque. It was opaque when I applied it, but small holes developed as it dried, so I think I need to use a little more next time. Either way, it still did a great job cleaning out my pores, and it left my skin very soft. There was still a little bit of the mask left on my face after peeling, but it wiped off easily with a damp towel. Afterwards, I used a toner to close my pores and my regular moisturizer on top of that. I'm very happy with the results, and I will continue to use it once a week for a nice deep cleanse!

Added a new problem
No pore particles removed. It didn't really work. And there were problems. If applied to thin, you would have to double it, else it can not be removed easily. If it's too close to the eyes, it would be painful to remove and you would get mega bags (similar to what you would see on cartoons). Cucumbers helps to decrease the bags only half. I found that water can help to remove it, that could have reduced to pulling around the eyes.I'm still using cucumbers to keep the bags down, days later. This is a new problem for me.UPDATED to 3 stars:Swelling under eyes, did subside eventually.I gave it another try. I read the directions and warmed me face before using. And it does work to empty the open pores. And, the pores seem to close a tiny bit more each time, starting from the top of my nose. Just remember to put it on thick and avoid the soft skin around the eyes. Unfortunately it runs out quickly.
