ObozMen's Bridger Low B-Dry Waterproof Hiking Shoe

These are the best shoes I have ever owned
I've always been tough on shoes, and have purchased other premium brands in the past. After three or four months they usually start to split at the seams on the sides. Even expensive shoes. I've spent $140, $160, and $200 on shoes before and they still wouldn't last all that long. Also I needed waterproof shoes since I walk my dog 800 miles a year in a rainy climate where it rains all the time. Even the most expensive shoes I've purchased previously would start losing their waterproofing abilities before six months. My current pair of Oboz shoes are going on over a year and a half now, with no side seam splitting and they still keep my feet dry. But nothing lasts forever, they are looking pretty tattered and dirty and they stay wet on the outside, but not on the inside, if that makes sense. I'll clean them and spray them again and keep wearing wearing them every day like I have been at my construction job. But I just now ordered a brand new pair! They'll be my going out on the town shoes. Yes, I should mention that these look great as well. So for durability, waterproofing, comfort and reasonable break it time (the soles will feel a little hard at first and need to break in) I highly recommend these Oboz shoes. I think these will by my fourth pair, so I finally think that I owe them a good review.

Great day hike boot
Compared to their Firebrand II, this one took far less time to break in. After 20-30 miles (2-3 days) they were feeling great. The soles grip well on wet surfaces. The toe box is a bit more roomy compared to the Firebrand, and that allows for heavier/warmer socks. I had to abandon the footbed and install Superfeet--regular fit perfectly without trimming--so much better with a little break-in. The laces stay set when tied and don't untie or shift around. No leaks so far when standing in a running stream. Well done, Oboz!

Great fit. Great shoe
I was a Keen customer until i had to buy two pair in 12 months because they came apart.

wide size fits my EE feet
These low hikers have a firm feel underfoot, which I prefer to some other brands that have more running shoe-like foam cushioning. The wide size has a medium volume forefoot and a fairly narrow heel for a snug fit. As for being waterproof, that remains to be seen as time goes on. I had a previous pair of these in gray that I bought from a national recreational outfitter store that started leaking just a month after I got them. But I liked the shoe otherwise so decided to give them another try, just in the brown (canteen) version. I actually like this color better. So I've given 4 stars and will add a fifth if these shoes stay waterproof over the next year.

Great quality
I wear this shoe in the office, out on projects & to walk the dog. Very well-made with great support and love that it's waterproof..

I love these shoes
This is my third pair of Oboz. They wear like iron. The reason I got my first pair was because the soles release dirt and mud really well. There are no little holes to hold dirt.I don't like the way they state the width designation to 'whatever' ie nothing versus a W. With no explanation. I'm thinking the 'nothing' designation is somewhere around a C or Medium width. They are a bit tight in the box and I should probably have gotten a W.

By far the best shoes I have ever owned
I am 52 and have owned all brands of shoes. These are by far and away the most rugged, toughest shoes I have ever owned. Naturally, because they are so tough they are difficult to break in. If you are slight hearted keep shopping. If you need shoes that are combat ready.. Get a pair. In fact, get two pairs.

Fit Did Not Suit Me
These are well built shoes. You can tell they are rugged and made to last. Unfortunately, the fit did not suit me well. As others described, I found the heel cradle was too loose. My heel slid up and down with each step. That would not be good for hiking or any length of time walking in these.

Excellent well made shoe
These are tough well made, wide-fit shoes, with a great hard-wearing sole. I use them for day-to-day dog walking. They're very stiff but with thick socks, I find them comfortable. Great price for a quality hard-wearing shoe. I bought them to replace my Mendl shoes which fell apart after a few months of use.

Fit and durability
I love Oboz. If you have wide feet, Oboz is the shoe for you ( Keen is good too). I do like the sole a bit better on the Oboz, and I do think they last a bit longer.

Great light weight boots
I’ve been wearing Oboz boots for about 4 years now and find them perfect for my active urban lifestyle. I regularly walk more than 10000 steps daily in both commuting to work and urban hiking. These boots give great support and traction and are great winter boots. I get about 1 year per pair and these are living up to my expectations.
