Great pool cover pump
Worked real well at getting all the rainwater off my cover when my other pump broke! It’s small, but works great!

It works but....
It generally works with a few caveats. The output hose they provide bends/kinks easily. The least bit of kink seemed to completely stop the flow of water. The water output is pretty slow. If you have a lot of water on the pool cover to remove, it take time. I had a 3" rainstorm put about 4-5 inches of water on my 18x30 oval cover. It took roughly 18 hours to pump it down to about 1/2" (its lowest level it can pump). It doesn't like leaves or other "garbage" at all which is an issue cased on my pool placement. I didn't get to use it until after the return window was closed, otherwise I would send it back. So yes, it works and if you have time to constantly watch it while it slowly evacuates the water, it may be OK. I had another 4" rain event with even more water on the cover. I used my 1/2hp pump with 2" outlet I use to pump down the water level for winter storage. It took 18 minutes, but I realize it is not fair to compare the pumps head-to-head.

Perfect pump
I have an above ground pool. I left my previous pump on the winter cover to long and ice froze and damaged it. For several years I tried siphoning with various tubing. Never really worked. I never saw this pump until now. I've only used it a couple of times. It's heavy and very affective. My suggestion is to use the largest hose possible this will allow you to start pump once primed unplug and it will drain most of the water. Then plug it back in and remove the remaining water don't let it run dry there is no on and off switch. So far I am extremely satisfied with this pump. If you use properly it should give years of service. Also the instructions read take pump out at 30 degrees. I would take it out before freezing temperatures.

Powerful little gadget!
This works very well as far as sectioning power. The only problem is it's a little heavy and tends to turn over.. but it still works. I just have to monitor it.. I think most of these have the same issue...

Works for my needs
Not the fastest of most powerful pump, but it does the job. The motor is hardy too. I left it on accidentally for days after the water was out and it's still working fine.

This Pump is a Good Drainer
This is a very good pump for draining the pool cover after a rain. It moves a LOT of water quickly. One needs to be there while it is working to keep it upright and to make sure it doesn't run dry, but the pump works so quickly, this is not a negative. The four adapters are a Plus for different sized hoses. The extra-long power cord is another Plus as is the long drain hose that is included.I have three CONS for this pump:1. The hose is called "anti-twist" which i assumed meant "anti-kink". This is not the case, but, let's face it, there is no such thing as an anti-kink hose. Don't advertise it as such. Be truthful.2. The heading for the pump states "Adjustable Filter". There is nothing in the directions about an adjustable filter. How about it?3. The directions do mention some "suckers". There were no suckers included. There are holes in the bottom plate. They could be a place to fix some suckers, but....Overall this is a good product. I'm glad I got it.
