Conceptualize at the speed of imagination..
Surprisingly useful 'gift'/overstock-incentive addon which I've gotten more use from than the graphics tablet purchased to get it. At the time, I had only a vague idea what a 'Light Table' was or what they could be used for. This is generations ahead of what I had as a child with usefulness far beyond the 'flip-book' animations I used to make (before digitization or any sort or even PCs).First, it's a very high quality device, exquisitely engineered and fabricated, fairly portable, safe/shatter-proof, and passive/nonrestrictive. Sure, it can be used to make 'flip-books' but with current technology it can springboard any animation project/sub-project, comic, concept -> 3D model, etc. While any of these things can and are done using other technology, the light board helps you get your concepts down at nearly your rate of conceptualization. Not just for artwork/animation but for modeling as well. If you're renovating a 2-story home, it's easier to harmonize the layout of the first and second floor to scale when you can layer them above the foundation/basement. Once satisfied, it can be scanned to speed up the CAD layout to leave the the load, fluid-dynamics, HVAC appliance specs and other monotony (staging, BOMs, etc) to software. Just an example of how it could jump-start any layered or scales design process.I'm certain their are new models of this device available or they probably wouldn't have given it to me.

A perfect addition to an aspiring artist's tools.
I get so much use out of this thing that it has become one of my favorite tools! I'm a novice tattoo artist and I like inking comics as a hobby on the side. Whether I'm tracing stencils to apply for tattoos or tracing pencil outlines for inking, this light box just makes the process incredibly easy, much more so than my previous flashlight under a glass table setup (seriously). Here's what I like about it:-Very large work surface makes this incredibly versatile-Incredibly slim, easy to store away in the desk when not in use-Adjustable brightness. Even when the box is at it's brightest, the diffuse filter makes it so my eye's don't get sore staring at it, while simultaneously distributing light evenly across the board. No darker spots anywhere, just solid light.-Build quality is excellent, the surface is glossy but no issues with it being a fingerprint magnet, doesn't get scratches easy either.-Touch controls are a pretty awesome addition, as I like my environment to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. The power, and dimmer switches are very responsive.-The inclusion of the anti-fouling glove was a very nice bonus and I wasn't even expecting it. It's a two finger glove that prevents smudging from oily skin coming in contact with pencils. Something I never knew I needed but now I can't live without.I have no complaints whatsoever, this does everything I want it to, wrapped up in a piece of beautiful hardware. Definitely recommend it!

A great light box!!
The light box is very thin but even better is that it is very bright. I have had no issues using this and it has allowed me to create some very cool images. You can easily adjust the light based on when you need with a touch of the button. You also have an 11X17 space to make your images! You can place different kinds of media on this, both black and white and color and still get a good image to trace. I tried this with the tracing paper that was provided and it worked perfectly, but I also tried with both printer paper and even notecards and the light still will come through! You see, I purchased this because I create images for my daughters' lunches everyday and while I love to freehand draw, sometimes it is so much easier to trace some of the images that I want to provide them. In the past I would use a flashlight or other powerful light source but now I can say that this light box is my new standard.I can place my notecards and an image on this and be able to do what I want.I love how easy this light board was to use and the quality of the light that you get from it as well and you will too!

Great Seller, Great Tool
Design:-The first thing I noticed about the PA3 24" light box was how sleek and slim it is (it's only about half a centimeter thick!). The design is very appealing, and the measurements on the top and left of the box are very convenient for accurate tracing.-The setup is very simple, just need to plug in one power chord and then you're good to go!-The three buttons (On/Off, + brightness, - brightness) function like a touch screen (not physical buttons, just press the correct spot on the glass), and are very responsive. I find it most effective to simply press and hold the +/- buttons rather than repeatedly tap them, which works out since I prefer just holding the button (less effort).Usage:-The range of brightness works well- at high brightness I was able to clearly see my pencil sketch underneath my Canson Croquis paper (which is rather thick). Being able to decrease the brightness is extremely useful for comfort/working at night; viewing any screen at full brightness for a long time will take a toll on you.-I have not experienced hand discomfort/extreme heat while drawing on top of this, allowing me to really focus on my work. The glove provided is nice since your hands naturally will drag against glass (though I do not get super expressive when I'm tracing, so I can usually get away with no glove).-I love using this light box to practice inking all while not ruining the original sketch, so I can keep practicing without starting from scratch.PNBOO has made a very reliable product that I believe any artist can find a use for. The light box feels very sturdy, with the material being very high quality (I thought light boxes would feel more light/plastic-y, but this box feels quite premium and has a proper weight to it). If you are in the market for a light box, you really can't go wrong here, and I'd definitely recommend this brand. PNBOO is also very easy to contact if you have questions, they are quick to respond and are very helpful (something I always appreciate in a seller).
