Works great so far and it's very easy to understand the interface. I love the long wire that came with it. Don't know whether or not it can read license plates yet but I imagine miss and runs are pretty rare. I can tell you so far that it's better than the one I bought from Target recently that claimed to be 1080p. $40 is an excellent value for what it is.

The black screen of death finally happened to me and just when I thought I wasn't going to get help from them. They answer my MSGS and told me, We are sending you a new one. The camera works. The camera is easy to install. The camera is durable and tough. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.... They care for their Customers. You can't lose. Thank you Chortau for your help!!!

The camera works great when it has power. We purchased two of them, one has issues with the connector to the cigarette opening. Plug is cheap plastic and does not maintain contact. Will look into a better dc-dc converter. hope this helps

This is a budget dash cam, it does have GPS or other features but it works great as a simple dash cam without bells and whistles. I’d say it’s a great first one to get. It’s super easy to install and suction power is sometimes iffy especially during hot days.Just play around with the settings BEFORE you drive. Just like any other new electronic, you have to know how it works before trying to drive with it on.

It was working good bu power cable doesnt work it any more (it is less rhan a year). I tried other power cable and it is working. I need to purchase another power cable now cable

I’ve had this dash cam for a little over a year now. I bought it for the sole purpose of protecting myself in case I got into an accident or someone else for that matter. People are crazy nowadays and don’t pay attention. 4 days ago a lady hit my vehicle. She refuses to call her insurance company back but tells me she has already talked to them and taken full responsibility. Without dash cam footage this would be an ongoing fight. The last thing you think about is saving a video when you get into an accident. But this dash cam automatically saves the video for you when it detects a crash which I find amazing. The only negative I have to say is the suction kinda sucks. But only in the summer months. Once the window heats up from the sun the suction breaks and it falls down. Not a huge problem just irritating having to keep putting it back up lol.

A lot of Ford vehicles for instance, have an always-on feature for the cigarette lighters. This means that when you turn the car off and go inside, the camera stays on and begins draining your car's battery. This camera doesn't have a battery, and shuts down in 5 seconds after power cord is removed. With this being said, you may want a "battery saver" which senses voltage changes and disables a device if the power draw on the battery reaches a certain threshold.Also, this camera gets very hot, and even hotter if there is direct sunlight on it. It gets too warm to even touch, so be careful. I'm worried it may catch fire and burn the car to the ground. See other reviews for this same comment - one person's camera did catch fire. Spend your money on a VIOFO A119 for a few more dollars, don't make my mistake.

I have had my dashcam for a year and it still perfectly works. The camera has one of the best video qualitt out there and its wide angle lenses is able to capture everything when you are on the road. I especially love that it comes with two suction cups so that you can replace it easily. Overall, I am very satisfied for paying so little for a hogh quality dashcam.

I'll just start my review right off the top that this product loses one star because once you open the package, there is a card that says if the customer (you) goes onto Amazon and gives a 5 star rating, you will receive a free 16GB memory card. I solely bought this dashcam for the fact it had so many high reviews....now I know why, all the high reviews are fake just to get a free gift.This camera loses another start because the manual / instructions are poorly written and are vague on the different features of the camera. After 1-1/2 days of driving, a message was being displayed on the camera stating card was full. I had to change the g sensor rating from the default setting of medium down to low just so the camera would not lock the video files..and I'm not even an aggressive driver!!!!The power wire to plug the camera into the lighter socket almost wasn't long enough.Otherwise, the camera seems okay. I've had it for about a month, time will tell if it goes back.

Okay, to get the tiny 16GB sd card you must provide a 5 star review. Ugh. Amazon should delist this item based on this. Very tacky.Camera works fine. Not the most intuitive menu system but it's not bad, especially for the money. 16GB only records about 30 minutes of 1080p. Guess I won't be getting my 16 GB micro sd card as was advertised. Shame.

The media could not be loaded.  Came nicely packaged with all the wiring you need. After using it for a couple of days, the quality was really good during day time and night time. Tested the motion detection and it seems to be working just fine.

I do not use the extra features and have not tried it at night yet. The daytime video is excellent and the ultra wide angle lens is wonderful. If you are going to get this be sure to have a large micro SD card like a 32GB card. It records in AVI format and the files are huge. Also be sure you have loop mode enabled. I had a 16GB card in mine and it only recorded 50 minutes of video. I had it set for 2 minute videos and each of those was 614MB. 25 videos filled the card and the loop mode kicked in to record over the oldest file. I just changed to a 32GB card to save a little more recorded time. I like how it stays on for a few seconds after you turn off the ignition too. I am using the cig lighter plug for power.

I bought 2 and they both are amazing. The picture quality is awesome and nothing feels cheap.
