Sharpie 0.7 is a great pen...but I give the edge to Pilot 0.7.
They are brand new today, but I'll give them 5 stars for now. - I've been using Precise V5 since I was a baby...no wait...maybe 10 years or 7. Love them, but failing eyesight needs wider ink so I'm trying 0.7s for the first time in my life. It's going to take time to adjust, like getting a higher limit credit card. I just bought the Precise V7 fine for the first time and the never before used Sharpie S-Gel 0.7. They're pretty close.Sharpie Pros:I think the Sharpie S-Gel V7 is very slightly wider ink; it's a matter of choice.I suspect the Sharpie is more durable, esp when flying / elevation/ high pressure.Sharpie negatives:Even with gel tip protection removed at very first start the ink flow has a lag when I first try it, buts gets going quickly. It's an age-old ballpoint personality trait.Another negative for me is it feels like a ballpoint pen; that metal on metal on paper feel, like hammering a nail into a piece of wood but at the finer level. As a writer it's a big big deal to me. I can have no distractions, even the tremendously grating feel of a tiny metal ball smudging out ideas. I won't regret using it though.I give a decided preference to the Pilot V7. It starts flowing immediately and feels smooth and free as it goes along with my mind. However I've had several Pilot 0.5s start leaking from high altitude flying.

My Go-To Pen—Smooth, Clean, and Always Stolen!
Clean lines, smooth ink flow, and effortless writing—these are hands-down my favorite pens to use. Every time I loan one to a friend or coworker, I know there’s a good chance I won’t get it back… because they fall in love with it too!I’m a longtime Sharpie loyalist, and this pen is just another reason why. Reliable, comfortable, and professional—what more could you ask for in a pen?
