These things are amazing! I had some installed a few years ago and they are still in place... no problems what-so-ever. When I had my master bath remodeled the butt-heads that installed my new grab bars thought they knew everything and used drywall screws and glue to attach them. Of course they actually fell off of the wall after about ten months of use. I tried to contact them to come and fix their screw-up but they had changed their name of business and claimed they did the job right. I tried to sue them for damages and several items that they stole from my home to no avail. Back to the Wingits, they can literally hold a tremendous amount of weight from a standstill. When the original company installed the grab bars in the front bath, the installer called me in to watch him, about three hundred pounds, grab the bar and hold himself up for about three or four minutes and nothing happened. The greatest selling point I have ever seen!Therefore, I have bought some to repair the ridiculous job that was done in my master bath. I am getting ready to do the job myself so I know I will be satisfied.

I am very impressed with these items. I used these to install grab bars in a fiberglass shower stall. Without these there would have been a lot of modification, cutting and adding wood bracing required to get the grab bars to be sturdy enough to ensure they were safe to use. After the install the grab bars are solid and won’t be going anywhere. I’m happy I found this product before tackling the job. These made the project about a 30 minute task rather than hours and you can use the shower pretty much immediately after the install.

Easy to install and hold secure. Has held a 225lb+ man falling several times without budging. Still tight in the wall. Have not used these in the shower/tub area where I installed blocking prior to remodel in anticipation of someone needing to mount grab bars in the future.

We installed 2 pairs of these mounts. Lesson learned with 1st set, but I over compensated on the 2nd. I made the holes very tight fitting to reduce and leakage of water through the fiberglass and had to compensate on the bar screws. That was my lack of absolut alignment. They have double sided tape to seal the hole, BUT that, once seated, does not allow for rotation. Silicone would have worked and would allow forgiveness, BUTTTTT with all that said I love the strength and method of mounting.

I called the company to find out how to install a different kind of wingits anchor that was recommended to install a grab bar and was told of the proper one to use for a fiberglass tub surround. She not only walked me step by step how to install it but found the best price for it! The price may seem steep but definitely worth the peace of mind knowing my dad is safe!

I installed a Wingits grab bar in the shower of an elderly client of mine. Took about 30 minutes and wasn't too hard, though I did find that your holes need to be REALLY dead on accurate. Mine were about 1/16 too far apart but I did manage to get the bar installed. Making sure that the holes in the brackets lined up to the corresponding ones on the bar was a little bit of a pain, as there's adhesive on the underside of the brackets, and once you push it in, it's hard to move, though it can be done. Even still, I'd use these again. Was very sturdy once installed.

WE had a lot of trouble drilling the hole through our ceramic tiles but once that was done the fastener worked perfectly.
