I'm not enthusiastic about doing it again, but it worked with great effort and tediousness. Still, it restored my aging speakers (the dates on the inside told me they were manufactured in November, 1983) sound as they did when I got them, all those years ago. When restoring Bose speakers, which I did, pay attention to the connection of the speakers to the guts within, that is, those that carry the sound to the speakers. The ones on the Bose are not easy to replace; they need something a bit more elegant to make changing them that much easier. But the speaker restoration package worked well.

These surrounds were easy to install and the glue is perfect. I called Springfield and they generously answered all of my questions. Great company and product.

Everyone else had just glue and foams for the same or more money. I got foams(4) dust caps(4) 2 different types of glue, voice coil shims(4),2 glue brushes. If you want to re-foam and re-cap your Bose 8" speakers, this kit will not disappoint.

Amazed myself by refurbishing wasted cones on 2 Bose 301 and another similar sized speaker set. Watch a few you tube vids, clean and prep, and take your time and you will love the outcome! Read up on frequency generating smartphone aps for no shim voice coil centering :)
