Every Man Jack Aluminum Free Deodorant Cedarwood Pack of 2

***If you buy this deodorant on Amazon, you technically will not get the product pictured.***I've been using this product for 3-4 yrs now and have loved the Sandalwood and Cedarwood scents. I've tried many "non-mainstream" deodorants and this is the one I finally found that actually works and is free of *most* of the bad stuff. If my review ended here, it would be five stars.However, Every Many Jack has recently changed its deodorant line. The deodorant used to be clear-ish looking with no color regardless of scent. My most recent purchase here contained deodorant with a very white color. Same scent, similar ingredients, but this new white formula BURNS my skin. Whatever they're doing now doesn't work for me, and I can no longer use it. I'm so bummed.I noticed a difference in the packaging that indicates whether it is the "old" clear product or the "new" white product. The image you see here on Amazon is of the old packaging -- the lid has a small "bumper" or lip going around it. The only difference, if you were to go to your local health store and find this product on the shelf, is the new packaging is completely smooth on the outside -- no bumper. Subtle, but it has proven true after checking in several stores over the past months. You may see a mixture of the two on the shelf if they are still being phased out of your region and such.Check out the pictures I included of the two different looks of the packaging and product.FYI -- I contacted Every Man Jack asking about the difference in product and packaging, and part of their response was: "All our deodorants are going to be this new formulation from now on." Bummer.Therefore, to my original point -- if you order this, it will not be quite as pictured here, but rather it will be the smooth packaging containing a white deodorant that at least, for me, reacts very differently to my skin than the previous formula. More deceptively, Every Man Jack is changing its formula and failing to provide any information about it (as far as I know). They don't even have "new formula" on the product! Additionally, third-party sellers are completely unaware. Good luck!

I have been using Everyman Jack in the Sandalwood and Cedarwood scent for 3 or so years. Recently Everyman Jack has changed the formula. The new formula burns my skin. I do not have sensitive skin. I bought the product originally because it is free of most bad chemicals and it smells good. I am really disappointed for two reasons. 1) I need to find a new deoderant brand; 2) Everyman Jack makes no mention of the new formula on their website.Undoubtedly they will lose customers with this new product and I doubt new customers who buy it will repeat. I will check their website periodically to see if they go back to the old formula.Update: I was in Whole Foods the other day and noticed Everyman Jack on the shelf. It seems like they went back to the old formula. I will give it another try when I run out of my current deodorant.. For now I am upgrading the rating because they seem to have listened to their customers. Someone from Everyman Jack even tried to contact me. That is respectable!

I’ve been a user of this product for a coupleYears. Up till now this deodorant has been excellent. However from the look and feel of the product they must have changed things up. First of all the deodorant has a different color than before. Made me wonder what was up. Then, after using the product and experiencing itchy red skin after I knew that they indeed changed things.Hopefully they fix this!

Caused burns on sensitive skin.

Like other reviews point out, this is a new formula, not the one I've been getting in the store for around 5 years. It didn't burn my skin like others have reported, but it doesn't "feel" the same, and doesn't seem to last as long or work as well for me. While I like the convenience of just ordering a lot of things through Amazon, I'm going to have to start buying this in the store again until they've phased the old formula out altogether.Then it's time to find a new deodorant.

I ordered this to try something new and with a different scent than my usual dove-for-men deodorant/antiperspirant and I'll say, the sandalwood scent is very nice. However, when it comes to deodorizing, this product is fairly useless. The main issue here is that it just attempts to cover up the smell of body odor with the sandalwood scent, which, while nice, is not nearly strong enough to overpower body odor. The product itself doesn't do much to prevent or deodorize, so you essentially end up with a mixed Sandalwood/Body Odor scent, which is no good. Additionally, if you've ever used Certain-Dri, this product creates a similar burning sensation at first. That said, it must be a different ingredient. Certain-Dri burning is caused by the aluminum chloride, which causes your sweat pores to shrink. Meanwhile, this product is aluminum-free, so I assume it's just a rash of some sort. This burning went away after a week or so of use, but the initial problem persists in regards to lack of functionality.It's unfortunate, but the reality of this is that the "natural" products simply do not seem to do as effective a job as the modern technology. I'll be going back to the ol' Dove men's products until they can create something better.Background: Office worker and bodybuilder. The version of this product that I'm reviewing was clear, not white, and applies more as a gel than a paste. Using this before the gym did nothing, as I could smell myself the entire time. I was "that guy". At work, it wouldn't be noticeable for the most part, but I felt like I could get an occasional whiff of BO later in the afternoon. I shudder to think of trying to use this during the summer here in TX.Two stars for scent, but no other positives here. The product does not do what it is supposed to.

Not happy! I bought this because normal antiperspirant irritates my skin, I thought it was because of the aluminum. This product is supposed to be aluminum free, but the result is the same. It gave me a rash under my arms. I don’t have this problem with other brands of deodorant.
