Sounds excellent in my H&K TM112 1x12!!
Purchased this so I could create an FRFR guitar cab for use with my Axe-Fx II XL+. Needed some of that thump back in my digital guitar life, after being a tube-amp guy for so long. I can honestly say that this was just what the doctor ordered. Excellent sound/feel and I can make it sound like any speaker I want, so long as I have the IR for it.The part I was most worried about was how compatible it was going to be with my Hughes and Kettner 1x12. The success of this speaker is very contingent on the enclosure it's mounted in. Celestion even provides a schematic on recommended 1x12 dimensions so you can build your own. Happy to report that it works beautifully in the H&K 1x12 (Model: TM112)!Very very pleased with this purchase!

Not enough thump when used as a 1x12 L/R stereo guitar elevated (32")cabinet setup
I am a tone chaser.I originally wanted these speakers in order to be able to get louder that my insanely hard hitting, loud drummer. I currently use a Line 6 Helix and two QSC CP-8's, that have great tone but just don't have the low end thump and are unable get loud enough to keep up with the loud drums.I took the dimensions of the cabinet that Celestion provided online, reworked them to have the same interior volume, but a square "Marshall" type cabinet.I asked a good friend, who I know can make great looking guitar cabs, if he would make these for me, and he did.I was so excited to get these, they look awesome! I tried them with my current sounds at rehearsal, they did get very loud (I used an 800 per side power amp, shown in the photo) but did not have the low end thump. Maybe if I had 4 in a real Marshall 2x12 cab? I don't know, but I don't think so. I will try to add bass through my pedal, but I didn't want to have to rework my tone, as it already sounds killer through my CP-8's, as well as directly into a mixing board with no EQ. That is what I am trying to achieve. My band is switching to in ear monitors, so hearing myself should not be an issue moving forward.Thinking about getting g the QSC CP-12's or the K-12's they have 🤔.I will probably be using these cabinets live, because they look so cool🤟😎👍

Harsh and lacking
I tried it in a digital modeling amp and with a tube poweramp and Tonex setup and both were lacking in sparkle and tone. Often harsh or thin and hard to eq . Amp with Cab on modeling on my closed cab vertical 2x12 setup with a V type and greenback on top sounded much better.

I like it
Perfect for my Kemper stage. Also works well with my atomic AA6. Tool a long time to break in this speaker but it sounds very good as a solution for amp in the room vibe for live setup. Also works great as a practice solution.

Arrived with a defect, could not exchange
Speakers has a double cone and it sounds as if the tweeter cone is broken. It arrived like this but I only was able to test it long after purchase. Seller did not respond. I can hear the speaker sounds great except that this one is broken and has a crackling and resonating sound in the higher range.

You really don't need it.
Bought this FRFR speaker for use with my Headrush MX5. The speaker is harsh, expensive and does not have any Mojo when using it with different amp models/IR combinations. Stick with your favorite amp and speaker and tweak the EQ a little. You will get a better tone then this gimmick speaker from Celestion.

Excellent for Fractal FM3
Until this week, I had speaker/cabinet emulation turned off in my Fractal Audio FM3 and just ran signal from my power amp to an Orange PPC212-C with a pair of Vintage 30 speakers. The Orange cabinet sounds fantastic, but is limited to the Orange and Vintage 30 sound. So, I bought the Celestion F12-200x and an empty Eminence XTC112, 1x12 cab. Now I can emulate any speaker/cab I want, provided the impulse response is loaded in the Fractal FM3.Know what you are getting. This is NOT a standard guitar speaker. It is a full range, flat response speaker, design to reproduce exactly what your modeler sends. This speaker must be used with speaker emulation. Try putting a regular amp or a modeler with cab emulation disabled through it and it will sound very, very harsh. (I tried, because why not?) But, enable speaker emulation with your IR (Impulse response) of choice, run it through a clean power amp and into the F12-200x and you will have amazing flexibility in your guitar rig to emulate the tone of practically any speaker or cabinet you like. I am very impressed with the range of sweet tones I can produce with this speaker and my Fractal FM3. In fact, I plan to by another F12-200x and Eminence cab so I can run stereo effects.
