The bright color is great
Looks well made & I like how bright the color is. Our little Chihuahua is still growing so it should fit perfect in few more months. This life jacket should work out great for our fall kayaking trips. He isn’t a huge fan of the water but the bright color and the handle makes me feel better about the chances of an accident while out in the water.

Perfect for my young Chessie!
The medium fits my 4 month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever perfectly and it's adjustable enough that he shouldn't grow out of it too soon. The flotation part of the material isn't too bulky but is well made.

Good construction
The vest is assembled well and I really liked the construction of it but it did not work well for my pug. With his head being smaller than his neck he slid out of that part of the vest. I think all vests would have the same result. I was hoping with the way the neck scooped down a bit it would work for him, but it did not.

Size jacket carefully to your dog, in the event of an accident they must be able to swim properly
Met all expectations, I tested the jacket in the pool prior to using on the boat easy to put on her and the handle works well to retrieve her from the water or just to keep her secure while boating

Poor construction
This ripped after 2 uses. We have had it 2 months and it is no longer usable.

Size M for my 19 lb Frenchie; see pics for fit
We are grieving the loss of one of our Frenchie puppies...she drowned in our pool. I’ve found many pet owners who have suffered the same terrible loss; if you have a pool & non-swimming dogs, it’s a challenge to keep them safe while allowing them to enjoy the outdoors with the family. In addition to a pool alarm, I bought this life jacket for when we are around the pool. Fit is difficult with Frenchies. Abbie is 9 months old, about 19 lbs & will fill out a little. Her neck & back measure about 14.5”. I bought a M & tightened the straps to the max; it’s a little big, I think a small may have worked but may have been a bit snug by the end of summer as she fills in. I have not put her in the water to test floatation; this review is for fit only. The jacket appears well made.I’ll never forgive myself for the drowning, but I’ll do all I can to keep the others safe.
