Extremely Fragile
I ordered this because I am a huge wine lover and I was looking for a beautiful decanter for my dinner parties. When it arrived there was a very small chip in the lip. I thought I could just live with it but with my first use the chip became a large chunk falling off. I returned it with no problems and got my replacement.I just used the new one for the first time tonight. As I poured the bottle into the decanter the lip of the wine bottle clicked against the rear portion of the opening and.... You guessed it....it chipped a small chunk off the inside of the opening. I am so sad because it is very beautiful and I LOVE the way it looks but it seems it is,sadly, not very practical.At the moment I'm quite annoyed as it wasted a bottle of very good wine, since I am afraid the chip may have fallen into the wine. Sigh. I'm probably going to return it and not get a replacement. Really a bummer but I don't really have a choice.

A beautiful decanter
I like the shape of this decanter - it's quite pretty sitting on the table. But the angle makes it a PITT (Pain In The Tookus) to decant the bottle. YMMV of course.

Love this ..
Way bigger then I expected .. super heavy too, really great decanter, great piece for dinner parties.. so SEXY .. picture does it NO JUSTICE .. I will upload a pic.. thanks Amazon!!
